Cardiac Services Launches Groundbreaking GaitKeeper Technology in Collaboration with Digital Gait Labs.

Cardiac Services, in partnership with Digital Gait Labs, is proud to announce the launch of GaitKeeper, a revolutionary technology that will progress the landscape of clinical assessments. GaitKeeper provides clinicians with standardised, objective, and trustworthy measurements to assess frailty, general health status, response to rehabilitation, cognitive decline, falls, and hospitalisation risk.

The CE marked, class 1 medical device can be used by anyone, anytime and anywhere, revolutionising the way clinicians approach assessments:

Anyone: Augmented Reality guides clinicians through a streamlined process for recording and reviewing assessments. Quick and simple, it keeps the focus on treatment, empowering clinicians of all levels to utilise this powerful tool effectively.

Anytime: Utilising a secure, cloud-based system accessible 24/7, GaitKeeper ensures seamless access to assessment reports. Our patented Augmented Reality app enhances user experience, providing clinicians with the tools they need at their fingertips, anytime, day or night.

Anywhere: With a cutting-edge AI and AR engine, assessments can be recorded in any setting. No mats, sensors, or wearables required – just take a video. GaitKeeper allows for flexibility and accessibility, ensuring assessments can be conducted wherever the patient may be.

The GaitKeeper system provides native mobile and web applications, leveraging augmented reality to deliver an excellent user experience. By simplifying the process of gait assessments, GaitKeeper ensures that clinicians can focus on delivering the best possible care to their patients. All data is securely stored in the cloud, with no video data stored on mobile devices. A web portal allows for longitudinal reports to be viewed, exported, or printed, providing clinicians with valuable insights into patient health over time.

Dr. Naomi Davey, ARHC SpR at Tallaght University Hospital, emphasises the significance of GaitKeeper, stating, "Gait speed is a powerful indicator for proactive health management in older adults. GaitKeeper serves as a tool for tracking health over time and acts as an early warning system for declining health. Streamlining gait speed measurement is essential for better health outcomes."

Professor Paul McElwaine echoes this sentiment, highlighting the importance of gait speed measurement in understanding and evaluating fall risks. "For the first time, GaitKeeper is providing an easy-to-use, reliable tool to measure it across different clinical areas," says Professor McElwaine.

Cardiac Services and Digital Gait Labs are committed to driving innovation in healthcare through the introduction of GaitKeeper. With its unparalleled features and capabilities, GaitKeeper promises to revolutionise clinical assessments, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes and enhanced healthcare delivery.
