Established in Belfast in 1969, Cardiac Services first began their business with a team of 2 staff, they received their first major order from the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast for heart valves, instruments and patient monitors and from here, they began their journey and “Cardiac Services” was born. Their mission to this day is to provide customers with a level of service and support that not only meets but exceeds their expectations.
Having grown the team from 1 to over 100 staff, they now represent the world’s leading brands and medical technology companies, providing intelligent medical devices and integrated clinical IT solutions to enhance patient safety and clinical effectiveness throughout the hospital environment across Ireland and the UK.
Cardiac Services provide their support throughout the areas of Clinical Sales, Service Engineering, Clinical IT, and Clinical Training & Educational ensuring the very best customer experience and maximising patient outcome every day.
On Dec 15th 1969 Cardiac Services officially started trading in Belfast. The Company was formed by Tom Beare and Jim Brown, initially trading from the Antrim Road, Belfast, then moving to the Lisburn Road in 1974.
They are now located on Wildflower Way, just off the Boucher Road in Belfast, having moved to their new home in 2007. It is now home to a brand new Endoscopy workshop expansion for the service and repair of flexible endoscopes and is considered a state of the art workshop which is the only one of its kind in Northern Ireland.
In 1974 Cardiac Services opened their Dublin Office to support and expand their initiatives throughout Ireland. Today, Cardiac Services have a dedicated Customer Service team available to deal with all enquiries in relation to Clinical Engineering, Clinical IT, Training and Education and Integration.
Their 25+ Clinical engineering team also provide technical support from project inception, installation, post go-live preventative maintenance and upgrades to end of life disposal. They also provide out of hours support on critical systems.
Cardiac Services are delighted to announce that they will move to a brand new facility in Northern Cross, Dublin in January.
In 1990 Cardiac Services expanded into the UK and opened their Manchester office to support UK distribution activities. After successfully completing the acquisition of Beaver Medical in 2007, the warehouse & distribution facilities moved to new premises located in Northampton to support their sales growth and diversification ambitions.
