Course Overview:
This introductory course, designed in response to
feedback from our customers covers all the basic
elements in relation to Temporary Pacing. Using a
combination of lectures and practical exercises it
aims to achieve an understanding of the related
physiology as well as the clinical elements of
Temporary Cardiac Pacing. This comprises a day
long course addressing the following broad topics:
Exploring Cardiovascular Physiology
- Cardiovascular Anatomy and Physiology
- Electrophysiology of the Normal Heart
- Abnormal Cardiac Rhythm requiring pacing
Understanding Cardiac Pacing
- The language of Pacing
- Understanding different Modes
- Thresholds and Sensitivity
- Choosing & adjusting settings
This section is supported by practical
demonstrations and exercises.
The style is open and interactive and questions
and discussion are encouraged throughout the day.
