Cardiac Services donate defibrillator to ILA.

The Irish Lifeboat Association received a special gift when Tony Colgan from Cardiac Services presented a life saving defibrillator to Ian McDonald during the annual Blessing of the Boats at Bulloch Harbour on July 15th 2009.

A chance encounter between Ian McDoanld and Sarah Greene of Cardiac Services led to the donation after Ian highlighted the difficulty in fundraising. Along with the FR2 AED Cardiac Services also provided a BLS kit and Susan Murphy kindly donated her time to deliver a BLS course for 6 people, free of charge.

The Blessing of the Boats which brought a great crowd including a few Dignitaries, Dun Laoghaire life boat and crew, the Aircorp helicopter fly over, Civil Defence rescue boat crew and ambulance and all enjoyed live music and a BBQ.
