Introducing our innovative cooling system – EMCOOLS - designed to improve patient outcomes after acute ischaemic events.

EMCOOLS Pads use a proprietary non-invasive cooling technology that allows the pads to be extremely simple to use and yet deliver highly efficient cooling in both the pre-hospital and in-hospital settings.

The EMCOOLS Pad is a non invasive, surface-cooling device for patients requiring induced mild therapeutic hypothermia, general temperature reduction or localised temperature reduction. The pads require no power and are simply prefrozen in a standard freezer (-8 to -11°C) before application to the body.

EMCOOLS PADS APPLIED IN ONLY 2 MINUTES !! - The pads are applied by peeling off the back foil and sticking the pads onto the core body surface area of the patient. The medical adhesive on the backside of the pads is dermatologically tested to be skin friendly.

EMCOOLS Pads are filled with HypoCarbon® which gives the pads a very high thermal conductivity, allowing for rapid patient cooling as pads are placed on the body. Unlike ice, the patient stays dry during the cooling process because as the HypoCarbon® melts it stays within the cells of the pads.

EMCOOLS Pads are scalable for cooling any size of patient - the larger the patient the more pads you use, the smaller the patient then the less pads you need.
